London Heart Valve Meeting May 4th-7th 2008
Following the previous meetings in Florence and Hilton Head, the 3rd Biennial Meeting will be hosted by the Working Group on Tissue Engineering and will focus on recent advances in valve biology and the development of tissue engineered heart valve replacements. The programme has been designed to reflect the diversity of challenges faced by biologists, bioengineers, material scientists, clinicians and regulators and the multidisciplinary approach that is required for successful tissue engineering of heart valves. The purpose is to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of cutting edge technology and recent advances in this field.
Topics will include:
Valve Cells
Matrix Biology
Valve Mechanics
Bio-modelling
Developmental Biology
Genetics and Valve Disease
Mechanisms of Calcification
Tissue Engineering
Percutaneous Valve Replacement
Regulatory Issues
Congress Venue:
The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace,
London, SW1Y 5AG
